All summer Cassidy talked excitedly about going to kindergarten. I was a little nervous, but mostly excited for her. I wasn't sure how I'd feel when the actual day came. I was prepared to cry and feel sad to see her go. And it was a little emotional for me, but not for the reasons I thought. I didn't feel worried about her feeling lonely; she has a bus buddy and great neighbors to ride to school with! I didn't worry about her making new friends; she's very outgoing and loves meeting new people - even in the grocery store! I didn't worry about her feeling safe; she'll proudly tell you Jesus is with her all the time! What I felt wasn't worry, it was gratefulness. She's a happy, healthy, confident girl and she's going to have a great year!
And here she is, waiting for us to pick her up from her awesome first day!
Waiting for her at home: a mini party to celebrate the special day!
