Not quite a complete 180 degree turnaround, but close. Cassidy's gone from ignoring Travis to embracing him. Now when he wakes up from his nap and I tell her he's awake, she goes running down the hall to open his door and say, "Hi, 'Tras'!" When he was crying earlier today, with a little prompting, she said to him, "Okay, 'Tras', okay". When she's playing with her toys and puzzles or looking through her books and talking to herself, we hear "Tras" sprinkled in amongst her other words. And her latest thing is trying to pick him up. A few times a day she decides she's strong enough to try again. (Unfortunately for Cassidy, at the rate Travis is growing, I think it's more likely that he'll be picking her up before she actually is strong enough!) We're just so happy to see her finally falling in love with our lovable little guy. We knew it would happen!

Snow Cave!

Kurt waits all year for there to be enough snow to build his snow cave. It starts out small and expands as the season goes on. We now have enough snow for a small cave, and just in time! Kayla is coming up this weekend and we need it to be ready for her. Come on up, Kayla! The snow cave is ready! Cassidy watches as Daddy digs out the cave a little more. Of course, she still drives her car and plays with her balls in the snow. Outdoor toys know no season at our house.

The Cassidyland Kitchen

When you're hungry and need a great meal, stop by the Cassidyland Kitchen! Just be prepared to endure a long wait for your entree. It takes our chef about a half hour to prepare the perfect dish. Today's special was "noodles". Occasionally utensils are used, but usually our culinary expert uses her hands.
Your lunch may or may not be transferred back and forth between the sink and the pot during the cooking process.

And just so you know, the chef selects only the finest ingredients...from the bin on the floor next to her stove. Not from the refrigerator. Oh, and the food might fall on the floor a few times during it's preparation. But in the end it will be delicious!

Snowy Saturday

What else would we do on a day like this? We started out with Saturday morning cartoons...

Then Cassidy and Daddy headed outside for some fun!
