Father's Day

Father's Day started out great! Beautiful day, morning at church, Kurt's folks arrived in the afternoon for a visit...

...but took a turn when we were playing at the park. Travis started getting sick, and ended up in the ER needing hydration and meds to stop throwing up, poor guy. He was much better the next day and fully recovered in two days. We are so grateful for the help we got at the hospital that day, and that FarFar and FarMor were here to stay with Cassidy while we spent most of the night with Travis at the hospital.

Day Camp

This is Cassidy's third year attending day camp at church! She loves it! Travis is old enough to go this year too and is having a blast!

 

Each morning the kids walked to church with Daddy and back home again for lunch.

 

Each day had a theme - today is Sunglasses Day!

...Crazy Hair Day!!

Scandinavian Days

We love our community and one of the most fun events of the year is the annual Scandinavian Days festival! Here's Cassidy riding in the kiddie bike parade!

KAYLA is here!!!! (oh, and Uncle Aaron, Aunt Sheri, and Khloe too!!)

We have been over-the-top excited about our visit from Aaron's family but for Cassidy it was alllllllllll about Kayla! We had a blast as usual! Here the kids are, not so patiently waiting for their cousins to arrive!

The FIRST thing Khloe did when she walked in the door was find and grab Jovi!!

We still enjoy matching clothing and jammies when we're together. I wonder how much longer the kids will go along with this tradition?!

We had to take them to Reiman Gardens! One of our favorite family spots.

We spent the next day in DesMoines at the Science Center

and visited Court Avenue Brewing Co. for lunch!

On the last night, Kurt took Kayla and Cassidy to see our local theater company's production of Tarzan - the girls loved it!!

What a way to start our summer!! We love you Aaron, Sheri, Kayla and Khloe!!
