More fun at the beach

We've decided that Fall is the perfect time to spend at the beach. The crowds are gone and we have the whole place to ourselves. Cassidy loves the swing and could crawl and explore the sand for hours. If you can't find us anywhere else, look for the Jensens at the beach!

We know what stroller tracks look like, and we know what footprints look like. But what sort of tracks would a crawling Pumpkin leave in the sand?

A great way to start our day

I decided last night before bed that this morning Cassidy and I would start our morning with a walk to the beach. What I didn't count on was the 45 degree temperature, or that the sand would be so wet. No problem for us, though! We bundled up and off we went. I was thrilled to find a swing perfect for the Pumpkin, and she loved it so much. What an awesome morning we had. A happy baby, an adjacent swing for mommy, a hot traveller of black coffee, and a lake of glass in the background. What more could you ask for? (Well, we did wish daddy was with us, but we called from the beach and told him all about it.) Cassidy was very intrigued by the chains on the swing.
Sad that it's time to leave. See you tomorrow, beach!

Can I have a bite?

Cassidy isn't eating much to speak of yet, but she sure is interested in food...especially Grandpa's pesto pasta bowl!

Cruisin' Right Along

It feels like Cassidy just started crawling, and here we are...she's 10 months old and cruising like a pro. Walking is surely not far behind. Are we ready? Ready or not, here she comes!

What else would we do on a Saturday afternoon in the fall, but cheer on the Spartans? Our little cheerleader fits right in!

Lunch at the Blue Pelican

Grandpa and Grandma Faust are here for a couple of days. Friday afternoon we enjoyed lunch at the Blue Pelican in Central Lake. Cassidy was such a big girl, sitting happily in the highchair and entertaining us all.

A perfectly lovely late summer afternoon

Is it still summer, or has fall arrived? Cassidy spent the afternoon crawling in the grass and playing with various colors of leaves that have already fallen. What a splendid day!
