One of Cassidy's first "firsts"!

Today, for the first time, Cassidy was able to hold onto a toy and play with it! This may not sound so exciting, but it is to us because it's the first time! Her hand-eye coordination is developing and her hand muscles are getting stronger. Each of these little firsts is so fun to see AND we were able to catch it on camera! Fun on the rainforest activity mat

Each day we spend time playing on the rainforest activity mat that Kayla lent us. Cassidy loves stretching out on her back and looking up at all there is to see, and listening to the music it plays.

In the last few days, Cassidy has started trying to reach for things that catch her attention. (She usually misses, but not this time!)


She takes breaks from playing to look over and make sure we're still there in the chair next to her...


...and smiles every time she sees us!

Sad Girl

We don't see this face often (smiles are prevalent these days!) but we think she's even cute with a sad face.

Kissy Face

She loves her Grandpa, that's for sure! Cassidy shared her sweet sloppy kisses with him this weekend. His heart may still be in a puddle, melted as it was after all the kisses from his beautiful baby granddaughter.

Grandpa and Grandma F. Visit

Grandpa and Grandma F. came to visit this weekend for the first time since Cassidy was born. It was such a great time! Cassidy was just a doll the entire visit. She loved playing with, smiling at, being rocked by, entertaining and getting to know Grandpa and Grandma. She couldn't have been more wonderful and I'm pretty sure she won their hearts!

Who's That Girl?

One of Cassidy's favorite things to do is to look in the mirror in her room and smile at the cute baby...the one who ALWAYS smiles back!

The Bumbo Chair

We keep trying out the Bumbo Chair. All the other parents just rave about it. But Cassidy doesn't seem to like it at all! She constantly tries to sit up on her own but when we prop her up in this, she sits there quite unhappily with a look in her eyes that almost begs us to let her out of it. So we do. Farewell, Bumbo Chair!
